3 Satisfying High-Protein Snacks

With all of the hype about protein lately, it’s no surprise that CrossFit Junkies and weekend warriors alike are searching for quick, affordable ways to up their intake. Here at simplyFUEL, we’ve compiled some of our favorite high-protein snacks that are sure to rebuild muscle tissue and keep you fueled throughout the day:

 

 Salty:

If you’re a fan of salty snacks, look no further than Chef’s Cuts Real Jerky Co, which offers turkey, steak, chicken, and bacon jerky. 10 grams of protein are packed into each 1-ounce, 80-calorie serving of teriyaki turkey jerky, for instance, so at only $6 a bag, the challenge here isn’t getting enough protein, but instead saving some for later. 

 

 

A Base:

Flavored protein snacks are great, but what about those times when you’re looking to satisfy a specific craving? With 14 grams of protein in each ½ cup, cottage cheese is a healthy, high-protein snack that can be “dressed up” just how you’d like it. You can top it with fresh fruit, your favorite nut butter, roasted peppers and a drizzle of olive oil – get creative!

 

Sweet:

Last but certainly not least, our favorite protein snack is simplyFUEL Protein Balls.
